For Hanna, on your birthday

Chats about Kimerald started it all
How easy to talk to you ‘bout great things and small
Prompted a friendship instantly but so true
Being with you, I never felt blue

Gimik, MBA,Purefoods, Music and Writing are but a few
Of the many things that connect me and you
Hopeless romantics too, that’s what we are
Our kindred spirits keep us close even this far

So on your special day allow me to say
Thanks to Kimerald, they’ve must been God’s way
Of paving the roads to make our paths cross
Admiring them brought us together, a worthy cause

Thanks for the friendship and for the laughs
For the chats and for making me tough
Your writings that brought shivers and sighs
Oh heaven, with them I feel so high

I’m so grateful I have you as a friend
Wish our friendship last till the end
And someday soon, I hope and pray
We’ll meet in person one day

I want to tear all my hair out of my scalp!!!!

Chapter 2 of my fanfic is all gone!! I feel like crying huhuhu.....

I have been working on it for a few weeks and today I was in the mood to really finalize chapter two so I can go on with chapter 3.

The file is saved in my flash drive, and when i access and edit it, I just directly do it to my flash. However, just a few minutes ago, I saved it after I made some changes and it prompted me to save it as another file because the file is already corrupted.

When I opened the new file, it's all gibberish!!!! My old file was not in my flash drive anymore. I even looked for it in my pc file here in the office but there's no chapter 2 here.

WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa

Ok I'll just think that the chapter two that I've written and lost was not meant to be. huhuhuhu Maybe, i can come up with a better chapter 2.

Electricity and Technology

Yesterday, the electricity went off in our office building and for more than an hour, we just filed documents that needed to be filed, segregated the papers in our desk...in short, we did work that does not involve computer or any other office equipments powered by electricity.

Our lunchbreak arrived and yet there was no power. So Jenny and I took the stairs and oh my goodness it was pitchdark. It was because the staircases are situated in the middle of the building and only flourescent bulbs provide light on it.

So we used the puny light coming off our cell phones to guide our way, and we count the steps each flight so we'd not stumble down. We traipsed down the five flights of stair in near darkness.

Yesterday's event made me realize how dependent the world is to electricity these days that work is totally disrupted once electricity was out.

But at the same time, it made me appreciate technology! Our cellphone was dually useful yesterday.

Eid Holiday!

Last October 1 was the Eid for Tito Abbas (our Kuwaiti uncle who's married to our aunt) and he took us out to lunch. Ate Roscel, Tita Judy's friend also came with us.

We ate at Noodles Factory, a Chinese restaurant in The Avenues Shopping Mall - the biggest mall so far here in Kuwait.

After lunch, we bought drinks from Starbucks and while away the time there, just talking and laughing. We spent some time window shopping then we headed to Farwaniya because Tito Abbas gave money to the kids of their friends. We stayed there for a while because we waited for Dyosa to be finished before we left.

Birthday Greetings from Pex

Another birthday has come....

Sharie and I celebrated our 29th birthday last September 27 but we held our dinner party at home on the 26th. We invited only a few friends over, almost half from our last year's guest list. Our menu was also cut down in half.

We only cooked stuffed chicken, kare-kare, lumpiang shanghai, chicken with cashew nuts and mushrooms, sweet n sour fish, pancit, chop suey. Then only maja blanca and fruit salad for our dessert.

Around 17 out of the 27 guests invited arrived - unlike last year that we had more than 60 invited and 47 came LOL. Last year's party started with lunch to dinner to midnight snack LOL This year, it's dinner alone.

It's a little less stressful and tiresome but it's still fun. Last year, we got five cakes - this year three. :D

Aside from the JMF ladies, a lot of my KGBAO friends has posted greetings over at PEx too. So this birthday was a happy one - thanks to my newfound friends.
